The 2012 APEC Summit was held on Russky Island in Vladivostok, Russia, marking a key opportunity to drive regional development.

To accommodate the summit, approximately 1,100 hectares of land were designated on the island for the construction of an international conference center with a capacity of over 4,000 people, around 7,000 hotel rooms, and exclusive accommodations for 21 heads of state.

These facilities not only met the high standards required for the APEC Summit but also laid the groundwork for the long-term development of Russky Island.

Through these high-quality conference and hospitality facilities, Vladivostok will enhance its international competitiveness, redefine its coastal skyline, and promote balanced, sustainable economic and environmental development. Ultimately, it aims to become a major international hub for business and conventions in the Asia-Pacific region. Efforts are focused on transforming the area into a global business and convention destination, shaping a long-term vision for development.
