The 2012 APEC meeting was held on Russky Island in Vladivostok, Russia, serving as a pivotal opportunity to drive regional development.

To accommodate the event, approximately 1,100 hectares of land were allocated on the island for the construction of an international conference center capable of hosting over 4,000 attendees, about 7,000 hotel rooms, and exclusive accommodations for 21 heads of state.

These facilities not only met the high standards required for the APEC summit but also laid a solid foundation for the long-term development of Russky Island.

Through these world-class conference and hospitality venues, Vladivostok has enhanced its international competitiveness, reshaped its coastal skyline, and promoted balanced economic growth alongside environmental sustainability. The project aims to transform the area into a major international business and convention hub in the Asia-Pacific region, shaping a visionary blueprint for its future development.
