On the new campus of China Medical University a building is dedicated to student health and well-being, containing spaces for sport, eating, or simply getting together.
Designed across three levels, the middle level corresponds to the public area, a space with circulations around the perimeter to connect with the upper floor, where the food court is located, and the lower floor, which houses classrooms, sports courts and tracks.
The open-plan car park, which has the quality of an exterior space, is situated beneath these three floors.
The building is topped by a roof deck with an aromatic garden, plus an elongated, elevated volume which contains the areas for yoga and physical education, and a restaurant with panoramic views.
