Nanjing Walsin Center is a major mixed-use development positioned as the iconic landmark of Nanjing’s Hexi New City. Developed by Walsin Lihwa Corporation and designed in collaboration with Altoon+Porter Architects, the project seamlessly integrates commercial, residential, hotel, and cultural spaces to create a highly efficient, transit-oriented urban complex.
In June 2001, the intersection of Jiangdong Middle Road and Hexi Avenue was still an undeveloped greenfield. Two decades later, what was once a blueprint has materialized into reality—emerging as the shining centerpiece of Hexi’s CBD.
Crafted by Taiwan’s Walsin Lihwa Corporation, this million-square-meter complex borders the Olympic Sports Center to the east and the International Expo Center to the west. The Yuantong Metro Station sits at the crossroads of Jiangdong Middle Road and Hexi Avenue, anchoring the development in a prime transit node.
Completed in 2015, Walsin JinYuan Residences stand out as one of Nanjing’s rare upscale residential communities boasting 35% green space. Generous spacing between buildings ensures ample sunlight for all units. Managed in-house by Walsin’s proprietary property team, which brings Taiwanese-style hospitality to Nanjing, JinYuan remains a benchmark for luxury living in Hexi.
The commercial segment, Walcai Paradise, opened in 2019 as a light-luxury, family-oriented experiential shopping destination. It introduced flagship stores like Tsutaya Bookstore and Nierbao, with a massive central sculpture quickly becoming a beloved city landmark. The rooftop garden elegantly blends retail with outdoor green spaces.
Two office towers—Walsin Center Towers A and B—have since been completed, attracting leading enterprises in finance and technology sectors.
