The Judges Academy and Taipei High Administrative Court Complex was designed to serve as a modern judicial education and administrative hub, reinforcing Taiwan's commitment to legal excellence. Completed in 2013, the 12-story facility integrates courtrooms, administrative offices, and advanced training spaces, providing a functional and dignified environment for both judicial proceedings and professional development.
This project is jointly developed by the Northern High Administrative Court and the Judges Academy. Due to the court's land requirements, office space is shared with the Judicial Research Institute in a 55% to 45% ratio, combining judicial and educational functions. The above-ground area is divided into two separate buildings by function, sharing a common basement.
The architectural layout is symmetrical, symbolizing fairness and justice. The exterior features stone curtain walls and large curved glass panels. Floors 1 to 3 serve as the court podium, using central curved and vertical lines to create a solemn yet modern appearance.
The Judges Academy includes a four-story teaching podium with a central atrium that brings in natural light. Transparent elevators and a large staircase connecting floors 2 to 4 form the main circulation path, fostering an open and interactive learning environment. A 12-story tower serves as a residence, providing full living facilities for students and faculty.
